Visiting Undergraduate

Research Interest:

I am a visiting undergraduate student from China, working on my senior thesis in the Sinclair lab. Inflammatory signals are found in senescence-associated secretory phenotype, suggesting that inflammation is associated with cell senescence and aging. I studied the activation of inflammasomes during my junior year, which is involved with various age-related diseases. Based on my experience in immunology, I am now focusing on inflammaging, especially the role of NAD+ in inflammation during aging, to improve the understanding of inflammatory mechanisms underlying aging, and the connection between metabolism, immune responses, and aging.
