Research Interest:

Age-associated immune dysfunction is characterized by two hallmarks: i) Immunosenescence, a gradual decline in immune function; ii) Inflammaging, a chronic low-grade inflammation. For both cases, these changes are due to pathogenic, genetic, and lifestyle factors that affect the cells’ epigenetic landscape. I am interested in understanding the impact of epigenetic changes on the aging immune system. In the Sinclair Lab, I will work on building a comprehensive profiling of the epigenetic changes in aged immune cells and restoring dysfunctional aged immune cells through partial epigenetic reprogramming
